Brian wrote several versions of the screenplay before choosing the one that we see in the film. He states that “this one seemed the best, kind of a weird blend of all the other ones. Of course, things did end up getting cut out for the obvious reasons of not having enough time and money to shoot them, but we managed to get almost everything we hoped for.”
Shooting on 16mm also provided its own challenges. Brian says “We chose to go with 16mm because we were able to get more money than we thought and all agreed it was the best choice for our situation. We also thought going with black and white instead of color film would be fun as a throwback to old horror movie classics, obviously Night of the Living Dead was a big inspiration for the horror elements of the movie.” Brian says that with having the black and white horror backdrop mixed with a bizarre sense of humor, he hoped to show something entertaining to both genre fans and comedy fans.

Andrew began his film and video interest at an early age by filming sketch comedy and skateboarding. This provided the opportunity to explore several different styles of shooting.
Having grown up in the same area of PA Andy and Brian knew exactly where they would be shooting and how that would affect the production. Andrew states “We knew we would have great locations, very secluded, but other problems like weather and remoteness would be the tradeoff.”
Andrew wanted to give the film some interesting points of view. Along with fellow crew member Max Emmer, they were able to construct some inventive camera rigs that would allow interesting camerawork for a cheap price. Andrew says “The rigs we made allowed for professional camera moves in a low budget situation.” Andrew has since filmed several sequences in nationally produced skateboard videos, and documentaries.

Max, armed with a background in engineering, was able to construct all of the camera rigs used in the film. This includes car mounts, full track and dolly, and a twenty foot crane.
Max also served as the films editor. Having edited short films of his own, he was ready for the challenge. Max says “I knew it would be a fun project, but it was hard having TWO directors over my shoulder.”
